Super Hubby Award goes to NICK!

I don't have a picture, but I do have a string of amazing actions of my husband to report! So My MS was really bad this past week and while I was doing my best to keep up with life, ie... cooking cleaning, homework, going to the gym, etc. By Friday my body was done! More pain and more head pains that will bring you to your knees. Under advisement of my neurologist, she said to go to the ER. WHahh wha.(Debbie Downer noise) So we begged her if there was some other alternitive! Nick agreed and took me to the ER. On the way over we were anxious about our arrival and how we might be greeted. Things ran smoothly until the doctor left and a new one took over. He signed discharge papers when I was more worse off than when we got there! TO top it off, when we asked questions, he came in and ripped me and nick a new one! Red headed, red faced hands flashing as he screamed to STOP just STOP IT! He was such a jerk! Nick yelled back and when that did not help he left! Then I turned to him, and asked k if you want to get all mad, do you even know why I am here and what my background is. Do you know that I have four kids and that I am more than just a patient. If you want to help then find those things out instead of kicking us out with no help! He quickly apologized and said he was upset at his colleage who treated me before and that he took it out on us! He calmly got the info and retreated me in a proper fashion. He kept saying sorry to me because I was crying so hard that I was talking and crying and breathing all at once! Not a pretty picture. A few shots later and we were out the door. I slept from 3;30 pm until 10am this morning! My body feels like I got hit by a mack truck, but the head issues are much tolerable! So Nick hates hospitols and waiting and when I am hurting he just has a hard time coping! This time he was patient and caring and assertive when the nurses and doctors just wanted to get rid of us! I love him for doing that for me and then for taking care of the kids in a loving way while I was out cold! He also filled perscriptions and checked in on me regularly. Never once losing his patience! He has really impressed me and I am so grateful to have him as a wonderful husband!

Glad you were able to get some rest and relief. Is there anything new they can do so you don't have to go through this again? I know Nick's family means everything to him! Keep us posted. Love ya

Hey Jen Im glad that your doing better and that Nick was such a support to you. That would be so awsome if you would come out!!! But the only downer is that March 19 through the 26 I will be in Idaho helping my sister. It would be my luck to miss ya. Hope not though I really love you even though we are so far apart I just love ya.

MS? For some reason I don't think I knew you had multiple sclerosis. That's crazy. I'm glad both of you were able to be assertive enough to get the help you needed. I'm so sorry you guys have to go through all this--but glad Nick sticks with it all and that you keep your sense of humor. :)
